Pietro Genova Gaia, born in Genova, Italy in 1997, began studying the violin at 6.
He attended the Niccolò Paganini Conservatory in Genova, under Donella Terenzio, then Universität der Künste in Berlin, under Marianne Boettcher, and then MPerf with Itzhak Rashkovsky at the RCM, London.
He performed as a soloist with the Genova Conservatory Youth Orchestra, with the Students Orchestra of RCM, and was soloist at Teatro Carlo Felice, for the Composer festival in Genoa. He performs recitals in Italy, Germany, France and England on a monthly basis.
He worked with extraordinary conductors, leading or co-leading either the first violin section or the second violin section, such as Fabio Luisi, Antonio Pappano, Jac Van Steen, Jonathon Heyward, Sir Andrew Davis, and many others.
Second prize at Piombino International Competition. Winner of RCM Accelerate as successful young entrepreneur. He is the violinist collaborator of the composer Matteo Maria Camponero.
He owns and plays on an Emil Pliverics, made in Berlin 1938.
