Oropa Music Festival

a humanitarian project for a new world

Founded by concert pianist and conductor Federico Gad Crema, the Oropa Music Festival is a week-long festival at the foothills of one of the most beautiful valleys in Europe, where world-renowned soloists perform alongside internationally-acclaimed conductors with the POP Orchestra, and in new exciting chamber music ensembles.

The Festival’s Season 2025 presents unique concerts between September 11th and September 14th, in addition to two days entirely dedicated to outreach concerts for local schools. It begins with a Grand Opening Concert at the Sanctuary of Oropa, followed by exciting chamber music concerts presented to the audience every day, culminating in a Grand Closing Gala with wonderful soloists and an ensemble of the Peace Orchestra Project.

“The atmosphere is one of total equality and inclusivity: the music serves as a bridge between any and all of our differences, a language through which we can all listen and understand.” – Federico Gad Crema, Artistic Director

Home of the innovative Peace Orchestra Project, the Oropa Music Festival welcomed legendary artists such as Martha Argerich, Michelangelo Pistoletto, Marc-André Hamelin, Ricardo Castro, and the shiniest of rising stars including Aubree Oliverson, Giuseppe Mengoli, Alexandra Achillea Pouta, Luca Buratto, Aleksey Shadrin and many others.

Audiences around the world can experience the magic of the Oropa Music Festival through special concert tours by the Festival’s global ambassador – our unique Peace Orchestra Project.

“A stunning location, a magical ambience, and beautiful, soul-cleansing music: a humanitarian project for a new world.” – Federico Gad Crema, Artistic Director
