Lena was born in June 2001 in Bern, Switzerland. She started playing the piano at an early age before discovering her love for the cello at the age of six. She learned both instruments with enthusiasm at the music school in Bern.

There she was accepted into the „Young Talent Promotional Programm for Music, Switzerland“ (Talentförderung Musik TFM). During her musical education she played in various chamber music and orchestra formations, also as a soloist. After graduating from high school, she began her studies at the Conservatory of Music in Bern, Switzerland (Hochschule der Künste Bern HKB) in the cello class of Professor Antonio Meneses, who lauded her for her musicality, her great temperament and her remarkable stage presence.

Under his guidance, she also completed two master classes at the international summer academy in Biel (CH), where she was selected both times to perform as a soloist with the Philharmonic Orchestra Budweis.
During her Bachelor studies she learned from renowned professors such as Marek Jerie, Johannes Moser, Claudio Bohorquez and Alexey Stadler and played in prestigious orchestras as a section leader in a project with the Camerata Bern and the Zentralschweizer Jugendsinfonieorchester.

In June 2022 she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Bern with highest grade and distinction. Since October 2022 she is studying for her Master‘s degree at the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music in Berlin, Germany in Professor Claudio Bohorquez‘s class. Besides playing the cello, Lena is still a passionate pianist, loves skiing, enjoys drawing and painting and did ballet for more than 15 years.
