Born in 2005, Marco Osbat began playing the cello at the very young age of five. In 2024, he earned his First-Level Academic Diploma in Cello with top marks and honors at the Santa Cecilia Conservatory under the guidance of Maestro Michele Chiapperino, and since 2021, he has been refining his skills under Maestro Amedeo Cicchese.

Alongside his solo career, he pursues an active and passionate orchestral and chamber music schedule, performing in ensembles ranging from duos to sextets. He has held the position of principal cello in several ensembles, including the Orchestra of the Santa Cecilia Conservatory and the Tusciaharmonia Orchestra. As early as 2019, he took part in the baroque music summer orchestral project “Bachs Erben,” performing successfully in concerts in Potsdam and Berlin.

His most recent artistic journey showcases his versatility in numerous prominent roles: from performing as a soloist in Camille Saint-Saëns’s Cello Concerto No. 1 , to appearing on Rai Radio 3’s program “Voci in Barcaccia” with the Trio Ecate. He has also performed at the Beethoven Festival in a clarinet trio, in a duo at the Università degli Studi della Tuscia, with the Sestetto di Roma at the Tor Vergata University Auditorium, and in various recitals for AGiMus and other prestigious concert associations.

Constantly committed to enriching his musical profile, he has attended prestigious masterclasses and academies (including Interlaken Classics, the Cervo Summer Academy, the Antonio Janigro International Cello Festival, and the Portogruaro Academy) with internationally renowned cellists such as Jens Peter Maintz, Enrico Bronzi, Troels Svane, Maximilian Hornung, Enrico Dindo, and Paolo Bonomini. Confirming his talent, in 2025 he was selected by Jakob Spahn as an active participant at the esteemed Cello Akademie Rutesheim.
