Fil Rouge: music, fabrics and wine

Villa Era - 3

Fil Rouge: music, fabrics and wine

Vigliano Biellese, Villa Era (13th September 2025, 18:30)

In the elegant setting steeped in history of Villa Era, an aristocratic residence surrounded by a landscape that combines landscape rigor and natural beauty, Fil Rouge comes to life, an event conceived as a true ritual of sensory harmony. In collaboration with FAI Biella, the evening offers a rare encounter between music, textiles, wine and words: a refined interweaving of art, manufacturing tradition and creative innovation.

At the heart of the project is a tribute to textiles from Biella – internationally recognized excellence – which is told here in an unprecedented way, thanks to the passionate guidance of Luciano Rossi of Filrus, who will lead the audience on a journey through textures, fibers and colors, revealing stories and visions enshrined in the signature fabrics. Each fabric will be accompanied by a tasting of local organic wines, carefully selected to evoke-through taste and scent-the same sensibility evoked by music and material.

Enlivening this multifaceted evening is an ensemble of exceptional musicians, young performers who have already distinguished themselves at major international festivals and stages: violinist Coco Tomita, violinist Pietro Genova Gaia, violist Miguel Erlich, cellist Felix Rosenboom, cellist Francesco Tamburini, pianist Luca Buratto and concert pianist Federico Gad Crema, in the dual role of artistic director and performer. Together they give voice to a living dialogue between languages, epochs and materials, in which music becomes not only sound, but narrative fabric, emotional body, web of connections.

To complete the experience, a refined finger food aperitif curated by Mosca1916, a historic signature of local gastronomy, which offers authentic flavors reinterpreted with elegance and lightness, in perfect harmony with the atmosphere of the evening.

The musical program opens with one of the absolute masterpieces of solo violin literature: the Chaconne from Johann Sebastian Bach’s Partita No. 2 in D minor. Regarded by many musicians and scholars as a veritable cathedral of sound, the Chaconne is an inner journey, a meditation on pain, grace and redemption, in which each variation is a universe unto itself, sculpted with precision and spiritual depth.

From Bach’s sacredness we then move on to the all-French elegance of the second part of the concerto: a soirée in which impression, lyricism and timbral chiaroscuro merge. Gabriel Fauré’s Quartet No. 1 in C minor for piano and strings, written at the height of his artistic maturity, reveals an intense and personal language capable of combining formal classicism and expressive ardor. This is followed by Claude Debussy’s Trio in G major, a youthful and rarely performed page in which the first signs of his future stylistic revolution are already discernible: a fresh, luminous work in which the unmistakable voice of the French composer, still in training but already recognizable, can be sensed.

Fil Rouge is thus an invitation to let oneself be enveloped in a story that is heard, touched and savored. An invitation to discover how the cultural and productive heritage of the Biella region can dialogue, without forcing, with cultured music and the art of living well.
